The reason for this is that sudden illnesses, accidents or injuries are never expected and they are impossible to anticipate. This is why PICKPAK products are so helpful and so valuable to you. First Aid situations cause people to panic – both the victim and the person administering the aid. PICKPAK products provide step by step instructions on their label describing how to administer First Aid for a variety of injuries – click here to view the complete PICKPAK product line. First Aid is defined as emergency care for a victim of a sudden illness or injury until more skillful medical treatment is available. First Aid can prevent a victim's condition from worsening and provide relief from pain. First Aid must be administered as soon as possible. In spite of the variety of injuries possible, several principles of First Aid still apply to all emergencies. One of these is to establish what dangers may still be present at the scene of the accident before beginning to provide First Aid. Another is to remain calm. Following this, you must then begin evaluating the condition of the victim and the severity of the injury in question. To evaluate a victim's condition follow these three steps: A Airway: is it open and unobstructed? Only after you determine the victim’s condition is it possible to administer First Aid. These are just First Aid basics and already you can see that providing First Aid is sudden and extremely reactionary. It is easy to see how a minor First Aid situation could turn disastrous without trained medical personnel on site. Use PICKPAKs to provide the proper
treatment without extra, unneeded and unwanted supplies and with easy
to follow instructions printed right on the label. Also, use PICKPAKs
to greatly reduce the spread of infectious disease that is often caused
by the cross contamination found in more traditional First Aid Kits. |
